University of Maryland vs University of Connecticut

The University of Maryland hosted UConn in the third round of the NCAA D1 Men’s Soccer Championship on November 29th . The Terps cruised to a 3-0 victory to reach the Elite Eight for the first time since 2018. Albi Ndrenika opened the scoring after tucking away Rocket Ritarita’s rebounded shot. Rocket Ritarita would go on to get his own goal late in the 1st half to double the Terps lead with a rocket of a shot after dribbling past a multiple UConn defenders. The second half saw the University of Maryland continue to dominate play, outshooting UConn 23 – 5. University of Connecticut attatcker, Austin Brummett received a red card with 26 minutes left of play in the 2nd Half after a poor aerial challenge. The Terps would go on to grab their 3rd goal late in the 2nd Half from a well-placed shot from Luke Van Heukelum. The Univiersity of Maryland advance to the NCAA D1 Men’s Soccer Elite Eight as they will face the winner of Washington/Stanford
